Samarthguru Siddharth Aulia was born as Virendra Kumar Singh on 23 September 1942 in Karma, Bihar. Before becoming a spiritual master, he had a distinguished career in science and research.
He studied at Netarhat Residential School and completed his M.Sc., AISM, and Ph.D. from the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad. He worked as a lecturer, researcher, and author in geology and later joined Coal India Ltd., where he rose to the position of general manager. In 1991, he attended the Senior Executive Course at Manchester Business School, UK.
His book Koyle Ki Gaveshna earned him the Indira Gandhi Award in 1984 for his contribution to geological research.
